MAHLATSE MOKWENA 
COUNSELLING PSYCHOLOGIST

I am a Counselling Psychologist registered as an independent psychologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) and the Board of Healthcare Funders (BHF). My practice is based at Waterkloof Ridge, Pretoria.

I have a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology obtained from the University of Pretoria. I completed my  Bachelor of Arts Honours in Psychology through the Midrand Graduate Institute.

With my experience I bring a vast knowledge on holistic Well-being. I am interested in the human mind. In my current work and previous work, I acquired training in counselling clients and offering assessments. I have provided career guidance, career assessments, scholastic assessments, individual counselling, and group counselling. I had the opportunity of working at the University of Pretoria, Tshwane University of Technology, Mamelodi Itsoseng Clinic and Midrand Graduate Institute. Other work experience includes working at Steve Biko Academic Hospital,

Star Academy Affiliate Card Clinic, South Africa Police Service (SAPS), Jacaranda Children’s Home, Stabilis Rehab Centre and Pretoria Girls High School.

I am a co-founder of a Non Profit Organization called Honest Conversation. Our vision is to Learn, Re-learn and Unlearn through one conversation at a time. We believe through talk we find healing.
